Department of Community Health Sciences

In the discipline of Community Health Sciences, the central challenge is the health of the overall community in which people live. Through the development of a medical and healthcare system as the foundation of community and research into the practice of that system, we aim to train personnel with a comprehensive and highly specialized knowledge who are capable of contributing to the development of new skills and systems as well as policy planning based on a global perspective.

Division

Community Health Sciences

In order to resolve the various problems that exist locally from a scientific perspective, we provide an education to train researchers and advanced public community health specialists as well as to produce professionals with comprehensive practical skills and high-level management skills in community healthcare and public health nursing. A master level program obtained the national exam qualification for public health nurses offers in fiscal 2016.

Health Sciences

We scientifically analyze lifestyle diseases related to diet, exercise, and sleep with the primary aim of preventing lifestyle diseases and maintaining health, and identify new findings beneficial to the maintenance of health. We particularly promote research into diabetes and respiratory disorders.
