Kobe University established the Graduate School of Health Sciences in April 2008. The School has five departments, Nursing, Biophysics, Rehabilitation Science , Community Health Sciences, and International Health, and plays a leading role in research and education in the health sciences through production of excellent graduates in these fields.
The undergraduate Faculty of Health Sciences, which remains part of the School of Medicine, Kobe University, has the basic philosophy of providing superior education to contribute to the health and well-being of humans through healthcare, medical care and welfare. The Faculty offers four majors in Nursing, Medical Technology, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy. Along with the Basic Medicine Allied Department, the Faculty provides superior undergraduate education.
